Creating A Paradise In Your Own Backyard

Well, summer is here and that means outdoor activity is at its peak and traditionally this time of the year is usually when most individuals take time off for vacation. But, with gas prices increases by price each year, multiple families have curtailed their plans and are spending their vacation closer to home. So why not take the time this summer and spruce up your very own outdoor living spaces and create your own piece of paradise right in your own backyard.

Create An Outdoor Living Area You'll Love: Comfortable resin wicker outdoor furniture, shade for those hot afternoons, soft lighting for those peaceful nights, a delightful focal point to give your outdoors a special meaning - Those are all elements of a successful outdoor space where not only you will enjoy, but also your guests.

Choose Outdoor Furniture: You should use the style of your home and that are in scale with the area you are working with - You could consider using a rug that will anchor the seating area and define the space. Or you could even find great sets that do double duty such as; a storage bench that is an ice chest along with an extra place to sit. If you have a larger space, try and treat it as a room in your home, divide it into smaller rooms so that each area is cozy, intimate and inviting in its own way. If you are working in a smaller space you could add a small chair with an accent table, a small tree, a wall fountain and a lovely chime to complete the setting.

Furniture Fabrics: There are tons of fabrics you can choose from for curtains that can be tied back to allow the sun to seep in and let down when it is blazing. You can coordinate pillows that will add polish and just the perfect sets of colours. Try to use plants that will thrive in your environment - Also a water feature would be perfect in a smaller setting too.

Accessories: Choosing the correct accessories for your outdoor living is just as important as the accessories inside your home. Placemats, napkins and gorgeous serve ware all make your outdoor dining much more delightful.

Cooler Nights: A good idea to consider would be to add in a cooper fire pit that would match your resin wicker outdoor furniture so you can never miss out on those late night fireside tales.

Saving Money In The Long Run: Especially with gas prices right now, staying at home seems like the better option so why wouldn't you turn your own backyard in your own bit of paradise. Choose furniture that is comfortable in all seasons and that is in scale with your space which coordinates with the style of your home. Add shading options and use curtains to control sunlight. Consider using potted plants in your design and add lighting that will allow you to enjoy the outdoors in the evenings. Also a good idea would be to use a focal point like a water feature or fire pit which will make your private holiday destination distinctive and a memorable one.
